The Happiest Man on Earth began as the extraordinary true story of Eddie Jaku, a Holocaust survivor who endured unimaginable loss before dedicating his life to a simple but profound message of happiness, kindness and gratitude.

What started as one man's testimony became an international publishing phenomenon. Eddie's memoir, The Happiest Man on Earth, has captivated readers around the world, becoming a New York Times Bestseller, with over 1.5 million copies sold to-date. Praised for its humanity, hope and relevance, the book continues to find new audiences years after its release, resonating with readers across generations and cultures.

Its success is rooted in a remarkable paradox: a man who survived humanity's darkest chapter choosing to dedicate his life to optimism. In an era marked by division, conflict and rising antisemitism, Eddie's message has become more urgent and relevant than ever.

Now, that story has found a powerful new life on stage.

Adapted for the theatre, The Happiest Man on Earth transforms Eddie's remarkable memoir into an intimate and deeply moving live experience. Audiences do not simply read Eddie's words—they sit with him, laugh with him, grieve with him and ultimately share in his unwavering belief in the goodness of people.

At its heart, The Happiest Man on Earth is more than a Holocaust story. It is a story about resilience, humanity and the choice to live with compassion in the face of hatred. It speaks to audiences of every age, faith and background.

From one man's life, to a book that inspired millions, to a stage production that continues to move audiences today, The Happiest Man on Earth remains a rare cultural work that is both timeless and urgently contemporary.
