The Happy Holiday Carnival!
Description
Knock Knock Give a Sock’s Happy Holiday Carnival brings together more than 500 children and their families living in NYC homeless shelters for a day of holiday magic, connection, and fun. With 25+ activity booths, bouncy castles, face painting, magic shows, a visit from Santa, and backpacks filled with gifts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Volunteers and families celebrate side by side, building community and creating joyful memories that last beyond the holiday season.
AGES RE: VOLUNTEERS: No kid under the age of 14 is allowed to volunteer - we mindfully avoid having kids serving kids. But we encourage volunteers with kids under 14 to come and be a part of the carnival and do all the activities except for getting a gift from Santa! And we even have a set of books folks can get to help explain to their kids why Santa's gifts are for the other kids at this event HERE.
KIDS AGES 14-17 will be assigned to volunteer at coat check sign in.
And 18+ can volunteer alongside their parents
