    Event description

    HORSES, HUMANS & HOPE!

The Healing highlights the groundbreaking work of Scott Brodie’s Horse Aid, whose mission is to transform the lives of traumatised ex-racehorses, as well as damaged military veterans and first responders. For the discarded horses, Scott’s program is literally the difference between life and death. They are retrained for second careers as equestrian, recreational or therapy horses, and saved from a lifetime of loneliness, misery or slaughter.
For the veterans and first responders dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD, Scott’s work enables them to re-engage with life. They learn new skills that increase confidence, provide new work opportunities, and see them reconnect with family and friends.
At its core, The Healing is an emotional, inspiring story that contains a strong message of hope. It also provides compelling evidence of a program that can revolutionise the ways in which the Government and Racing Industry responds to the crisis afflicting veterans and horses.

If you have ever had the privilege to have a horse in your life, grab it with both hands...they will change your life forever! (Co-Host Kym O)
