The Hope Diaries Writing Circle
Description
"Despair is a black leather jacket that everyone looks good in. Hope is a frilly, pink dress that exposes the knees." - Rebecca Solnit, Hope in the Dark.
Have you started to grow tired of the doomsday predictions of 'where the world is heading'?
I have! While we obviously need a space to observe the horrors and critique systems, too much of this doesn't leave room for the possibility of what's to come.
This writing circle is about re-activating, amplifying and, at the very least, practicing what it is like to hold a position of hope. Through prompts and 10-min writing intervals, I will guide you towards excavating hope from unexpected places.
This event is perfect for you if you:
Wish to carve out time for your creativity
Are interested in social change
Don't mind skipping the small talk and diving straight into substance
