The Humbleman Band

The Humbleman Band has been a fixture on the Philadelphia music scene for almost 30 years, sharing original songs and spreading their unique and potent blend of rock, funk, and reggae that makes your body move, your heart pound, and your soul shout. Based in Germantown, Humbleman Band offers clever, personal, and topical lyrics to get your mind and heart in a positive space. The Humbleman Band is Charlie Cooper on guitar and vocals, Wain Ballard on guitar, Kim Alexander on vocals, Boz Heinly on bass, Buck Buchannan on drums, and Rob Sanders on violin. Their albums include Late Bloom (2014), Beautiful Day (2018), Lookin’ Up (2025), all of which can be found online on streaming services, and a compilation album, Least Bad of Humbleman 1984-2009.

Rev Chris & Les Garçons Crasseux - During his uniquely executed quarter-century as a professional musician, pianist Christopher Marsceill, aka Rev Chris, has stirred the pot and pushed genre classification to new levels. Never supported by a major label, Rev Chris has performed over 200 gigs a year since 2010 and assembled a group of musicians who perform his compositions to delighted audiences. Honing his skills in New Orleans he has performed with Bill Iuso, George Porter Jr (the Meters), Ted Hefko, Ellen Rogers, New Orleans Juice, Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic, Aquarium Rescue Unit), Mark Van Allen (Blueground Undergrass), Ani DiFranco, in addition to many other talented people shaped the music education of his blues-based fonky piano style. His current ensemble, Les Garçons Crasseux, boasts alums from the Dorsey Big Band (Thomas Razler), Philly hip hop greats Fathead (Bart Miltenberger), Ensemble Novo (Claudio de Pujadas), guitarist Joe Ryan, and (last but not least) the Keith to his Mick, the Stanley to his Chick: bassist Rich Curtis (Dukes of Destiny).

By Car or By Train

The East Falls Train Station is a short walk from the Fallser Club. Parking in East Falls is no problem! There is ample free on-street parking near the East Falls train station driveway at 3610 Midvale Ave and a paid municipal lot three blocks away at 4100 Ridge Ave.  Midvale Ave and Ridge Ave are both well-lit!
