The Huntress Weekend: Introduction to Archery, Nature Connection Skills and Ethical Food Sourcing

Are you ready to step into your inner Huntress? Whether you're a complete beginner or have some archery experience, The Huntress immersion is the perfect retreat for women who want an introduction to, or deepen their archery skills, connect with the natural world, and explore the art of ethical harvesting. Spend four magical days camping at a private 140-acre bushland retreat, just 10 minutes from the beach. This unique experience blends archery, nature connection activities and storytelling—all while building confidence in your ability to ethically harvest your own food. You’ll be guided by experienced instructors Katie Rydge and Deb Bollinger, both passionate and skilled archers, who will walk you through everything from bow care to safe and effective archery practices and techniques. You'll also have plenty of time to connect with fellow participants, share stories, and weave your experiences into a deeper understanding of your relationship with the land.
What to Expect:
Bow Ownership & Maintenance: Learn how to care for your bow.
Arrow Selection: Get guidance on selecting the right arrows for your bow and draw length.
Archery Instruction: Receive personal coaching on safe and effective techniques.
3D Targets: Test your skills on 3D targets in a stunning bush setting.
Nature Connection: Engage in practices that deepen your bond with the natural world.
Storytelling: Join in a circle to share stories and craft, strengthening your connection with the land and other women.

Venue:
The private bushland retreat is nestled in the heart of nature, with a rich ecosystem that includes an active deer population and protected koala habitat. Here, you’ll truly experience the land’s magic while camping under the stars, just minutes from the beach.Facilities Include:
A camp kitchen, communal undercover area and bush toilets.
Morning tea, Thursday dinner, Friday dinner, Saturday dinner, and tea & coffee station are provided.
Filtered rainwater to keep you hydrated throughout your stay.

Arrive: Thursday 5th February 2026, 2:00 PM

What to Bring:
Bow and arrows (if you have them! If not, no problem—archery equipment will be provided.)
