Event description

Based on The Importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

Directed by Ashleigh Law and Owen Gonsalves

"On the contrary, August, I’ve now realised for the first time in my life the vital Importance of Being Earnest."

- Oscar Wilde (The Importance of being Earnest)

In their second ever show, Bark Theatre Company proudly presents Oscar Wilde's hilarious classic, The Importance of Being Earnest, with a modern twist! While leaving Wilde's witty writing almost untouched, this charming adaptation prides itself on being a love letter to modern Australia and it's culture. With humour catered for adults and children alike, witness Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff traverse the slippery slope of love, lust, identity, class and honesty... all while taking the mickey!

CAST

Melanie Howden, Kathleen (Cheshire) Masters, Joshua Mifsud, Rhiannon Mitchell, Connor Price, Dessy Turk, Colby Wellard and Sam Wyles.
