The International Storytellers Film Series presents: "In My Blood It Runs"
Event description
This World Children’s Day, we’re proud to present a screening of "In My Blood It Runs" as part of our International Storytellers Film Series. Celebrated annually in November, World Children’s Day raises awareness of children’s rights, calling on adults to listen, protect, and advocate for children’s voices and dreams. By honouring their right to self-expression, we help ensure they feel valued and empowered to contribute to a better world.
About the Film:
"In My Blood It Runs" follows the journey of Dujuan, a young Arrernte and Garrwa boy liviing in Alice Springs Australia, who faces the difficult task of balancing his Indigenous heritage with a Western education system that often overlooks his cultural identity. Through Dujuan’s story, we’re reminded of the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment where children can thrive without discrimination.
