Event description

Celebrate Nelson Mandela International Day with us at the second edition of our International Storytellers Film Series. We'll be screening "Living the Change: Inspiring Stories for a Sustainable Future," a documentary that showcases inspiring stories of individuals and communities pioneering sustainable solutions.

The International Storytellers Film Series is a collaborative initiative between The Kiwi Kit Community Trust and QLDC Libraries. Each month, we'll showcase a documentary film that aligns with various international celebration days, bringing global narratives to our local community.

In honor of Nelson Mandela International Day, we are proud to present "Living the Change," a powerful documentary that aligns perfectly with the values Nelson Mandela championed—courage, resilience, and a commitment to creating a better future.

About the Film: "Living the Change" is a feature-length documentary that explores solutions to the global crises we face today – solutions any one of us can be part of – through the inspiring stories of people pioneering change in their own lives and in their communities in order to live in a sustainable and regenerative way.

Directors Jordan Osmond and Antoinette Wilson have brought together stories from their travels, along with interviews with experts able to explain how we come to be where we are today. From forest gardens to composting toilets, community supported agriculture to timebanking, Living the Change offers ways we can rethink our approach to how we live.

This is a FREE event open to everyone! Bring your friends and family to experience an evening of powerful storytelling and meaningful conversation.
