The Italian Long Lunch @ The Dairy

Event description

For almost 100 years, The Dairy at Burringbar has sat in a green field surrounded by rolling hills dotted with gorgeous jersey cows and happy hens. We've been its custodians for nearly 50 years. Three generations of our Italian family have grown up, milked our house cows, collected eggs, made butter and cheese, and produced abundant food to feed our family and many others.

Celebrating and sharing food traditions with friends and neighbours is part of our Italian culture. We treasure having Sunday lunch with Nonna, her long table under the tree setting the scene for a spring feast for family and friends. The aroma from the kitchen drives us wild with anticipation of the feast to come. Share plates brimming with antipasto, crusty bread, little pillows of handmade ravioli and fresh pasta, succulent roasted and slow-cooked meats served with an abundance of verdure di primavera (spring vegetables), and then there's the dolci. (You must always have room for dessert)

Now you can share in our family traditions and experience our Italian Long Lunch at the Dairy. Enjoy fresh, local farm produce in authentic dishes that reflect the traditional flavours of our family's villages in northern and southern Italy.

This is a very special event, our first Italian Long Lunch gathering. With limited numbers, please book early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to sharing our food traditions with you at our long table under the old black bean tree.
