The Jazz Club at Witney presents - Daniel Newbury with Tom Berge Trio

A remarkable upbeat, joyful young tenor Saxophonist

If you like your jazz full of upbeat passion then this is the concert for you. A graduate of Royal Welsh College of Music, Dan Newbury is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the most accomplished players in the business today. His tone on tenor sax is full bodied and his playing is reminiscent (although he very much has his own voice) of the great Houston Pearson. Tom Berge's trio are simply fantastic with the hugely popular swing and modern drummer Alex Goodyear and firmly rooted lyrical bassist Paul Jefferies. Their set will bring a fresh, lively and humorous feel to some of the best loved jazz classics.
