The joys and challenges of Wikipedia for Mongolia

Celebrate Wikipedia Asian Month with Wikimedia Australia. The Mongolian Wikipedia faces challenges typical of small language projects, such as limited contributors and data, incomplete UI translations, and language instability.

When they exist, articles can often be low-quality, and political interference and page vandalism further complicate matters. The project and Mongolian representation on Wikipedia generally needs more contributors, expert knowledge, and quality reviews to thrive.
