Kaite Chester Quartet: 'Onto Something' Album Launch at Rosny Barn
Description
Kaite Chester brings her debut album, Onto Something, to Tasmania for the first time, with a night of Great American Songbook classics in original arrangements. Expect well-known standards alongside lesser-known songs, reshaped through interpretation, improvisation and close collaboration with her quartet. If you love Ella, Billie and Sinatra, this is those songs as you haven't heard them before.
“Kaite’s pinpoint pitch, effortless swing and distinctive interpretations set her apart. She brings something entirely her own to both familiar standards and contemporary material.” - Benny Benack III (NYC)
THE BAND
Kaite Chester – vocals
Steve Newcomb – piano
Elliott Parker – double bass
