The Last Word | Curated Poetry by Blue Bottle x The Braddyton
Event description
This month, The Braddyton is collaborating with our friends at Blue Bottle Journal for a special poetry showcase event at Can You Keep A Secret in Woolloongabba.
This curated poetry gig will feature four fantastic Blue Bottle authors, in conjunction with the journal’s open submissions period.
If you’re a poet, you can send your work here.
We’ll hear from Maddy Dale (The Pearl as Immune Response), Rae White (Gibbous Season), Svetlana Sterlin (Life is Occupation) and Shastra Deo (The Exclusion Zone).
We’ll also be farewelling Shastra as she prepares to move across the Pacific Ocean, and The Braddyton’s Bronwyn Bradley and Aoife Hilton as they prepare to move interstate.
Toast our weary travellers, let the muse intoxicate you – or just enjoy an afternoon drink with some pretty words.
We create and perform on the lands of the Yugara and Turrbal people, and pay our respects to their Elders – past, present, and emerging. These have always been lands of storytelling, and their sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
