Very often, OD practitioners are only too aware of the need to coach and advise leaders at all levels to bring an OD mindset into their day-to-day leadership practice. But what could leadership look like if OD were at the heart of everything that a leader does?

This session will invite us to take a pragmatic look at OD in action through interactive case studies and a frank sharing of lived experience. We’ll explore the impact that an OD-led approach to leadership can have on organisation culture, performance and community connection.

This interactive session will have you working hands-on with an experienced leader through a series of case studies to consider what advice you would provide to a leader facing these challenging circumstances, and indeed how you personally can approach leadership with an OD-first mindset.

About Your Presenter

Kerryn Ellis is a passionate public sector leader with over 25 years’ experience, who is energised by working with organisations and communities in a context of rapid change. Kerryn’s main professional love is building high-performing, ethical and agile organisations with values-based leadership, working in partnership to deliver great outcomes with the community.

Kerryn’s current role is Chief Executive Officer at Melbourne’s iconic Shrine of Remembrance. Prior to this, Kerryn held leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer of South Gippsland Shire Council for five years, Deputy Ombudsman at the Victorian Ombudsman’s Office, Director Corporate Services at Victoria’s Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission and Director Corporate Performance with the City of Greater Bendigo.

Kerryn has a longstanding commitment to leading with heart and putting people at the centre. Having practised an OD-led approach to leadership for many years, Kerryn is looking forward to sharing some of her challenges and a few successes with like-minded friends at ODA.
