    In conversation with: Dr Niels Wouters
    Join us at The Library at Sanders Place, for a discussion on complex ethnographies and the impact on our communities, courtesy of world leading researcher and designer, Dr Niels Wouters.

    In a discussion spanning responsible innovation, human behaviour (and a particular emphasis on digital ethics) Dr Woutersā€™ approach to driving positive societal impact via collaborative projects with partners have resulted in an impressive mix of high impact, and experimental.

    ABOUT:

    Dr Niels Wouters PhD specialises in complex ethnographic research and his work has contributed toĀ whole-of-government responses to substance abuse, documentedĀ technology innovation opportunities in law enforcement, improved service delivery and user experience inĀ aged care and community health, and shaped the future ofĀ accessible public transportĀ through human-centred testing of fare validators.

    He was recently a research Principal at Paper Giant for 3+ years, leading a team to successfully complete over 25 client projects.

    He was Senior Research Fellow at University of Melbourne and a Digital Media Specialist at Science Gallery Melbourne, where he was involved in creating ā€˜Biometric Mirrorā€™, aĀ global research program on AI ethicsĀ and managed the concept design and development of the largest media faƧade in the Southern Hemisphere,Ā The Digital Bricks.
