The Life Changing Magic of OFNR
Why this workshop?
What if a simple shift in how we communicate could change the quality of our relationships, conversations, and leadership?
Rooted in Nonviolent Communication, OFNR (Observations, Feelings, Needs, and Requests) offers a practical framework for moving beyond blame, assumptions, and defensiveness toward greater clarity, curiosity, and connection.
In this 90-minute, experiential session, we’ll explore how to use OFNR to navigate everyday conversations, express what matters to us, and better understand what’s happening beneath the surface when tensions arise.
Through reflection, practice, and real-world examples, you’ll have an opportunity to experiment with the framework and discover how small shifts in language can open up new possibilities for dialogue.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult conversation, building trust with your team, or simply trying to communicate with greater intention, you’ll leave with a practical tool you can put to use right away, and a fresh perspective on how you show up in relationship with others.
This workshop is brought to you by the team at The Co. -> a learning community for impact-conscious, power-curious leaders.

Jeff Couillard
I help organizations build leaderful teams - teams where power is used wisely, trust is practiced daily, and people are equipped to navigate the real tensions of modern work. My work sits at the intersection of leadership development, team facilitation, and organizational culture. I’ve had the privilege of supporting leaders at TC Energy, the City of Calgary and the Calgary Fire Department, Electronic Arts, Bayer, Hull Services, and other mission-driven organizations across sectors. I design and deliver learning experiences that are practical, participatory, and immediately operational - whether through executive workshops, keynote speaking, immersive team sessions, or long-term leadership development programs. My approach is grounded in the Right Use of Power, deep coaching practice, and over a decade of work in addiction and mental health, where clarity, compassion, and accountability are non-negotiable.
