The Local Chapter school holiday pop-up bookclub
Description
Join us for a pop-up bookclub session for middle school students (years 5, 6, 7 & 8). We’ll be reading and talking about Andrea Innocent’s graphic book Lamington Left Behind and doing some creative activities together.
📚 Where: Meeting Room 1 in the Traralgon Library
🕙 When: Monday 28 September, 10-1pm
A free copy of the book will be posted to you beforehand, or you can easily read it on the day. We’ll have spares available.
Lamingtons (and other snacks) will be provided!
Facilitator bios:
Iryna is a PhD candidate at RMIT, researching translated literature as a creative act and immigrant identity. She loves reading and snuggling with her cat, and keeping up to date with everything Kpop.
Josie is a writer and PhD candidate at RMIT University in Melbourne. Originally from rural NSW, Josie’s writing focusses on connections between humans and nature, including what it means to live through the climate crisis.
