The Loneliness Project with Ros Thomas
Event description
Ros Thomas is a journalist and author with a speciality in long-form non-fiction, and a background in television investigative reporting, print and more recently, publishing.
In 2024, Ros put fiction aside to propel an open discussion in the media about the emerging epidemic of loneliness.
A year of international study was funded by a Winston Churchill Fellowship.
Ros’ interviews with some of the most isolated and vulnerable members of Western society attracted a loyal following in both print and social media. Ros discovered the power of prose illustrated with portraiture to bring each other urgently to life.
The online publication of a 250-page report of Ros' findings has attracted attention from Governments, health care, NFP’s and employers.
