Witness the cosmos in high definition under the silver glow of the moon.

The Lunar Discovery Sessions offer a spectacular, high-contrast journey through our immediate solar neighbourhood. Running exclusively during our Lunar Windows, these sessions embrace the brilliant light of the moon to showcase celestial targets that thrive under magnification.

Our premier CDK700 telescope pivots to track sharp, high-intensity details. Look deep into magnificent lunar craters, soaring mountain ranges like the lunar Apennine Mountains, and dramatic shadows along the terminus line.

Using our CDK700 telescope, the experience expands beyond the moon:

🪐 The Moon & Planets: Explore lunar craters and features, alongside seasonal planetary highlights like Saturn.

✨ Ancient Star Clusters: View glittering open clusters like the Jewel Box and dense globular clusters like 47 Tucanae.

💨 Star-Forming Regions: Discover dynamic nebulae where new star systems are born.

🌌 Eyepiece vs. The Big Screen: A Dual-View Experience

We combine outdoor eyepiece viewing with a climate-controlled classroom featuring a 98" screen for live-stacking deep-space structures.

Incredible Detail: Sharp planetary surfaces, lunar geography, and bright star clusters.
Interactive Science: Understand moon phases and nocturnal conservation.
Comfortable Facilities: Climate-controlled room with a 98" data screen.
Best For: First-timers, families, and moon enthusiasts.
Location & Drive: Swan Reach, SA — under 2 hours from Adelaide in the River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve.
