Step into the colourful world of Don Quixote as Brisbane Ballet brings one of the world’s most joyful and exciting ballets to life in a performance designed especially for children aged 3 years and over.
Set in sunny Barcelona, Spain, this lively ballet is filled with beautiful costumes, wonderful classical music, spectacular dancing, colourful characters and plenty of fun.
Children will meet the spirited Kitri, the charming Basilio, the wonderfully dramatic Gamache and a cast of Spanish dancers as the story unfolds through dancing, storytelling and playful pantomime.
Expect impressive jumps, dazzling turns, beautiful costumes and plenty of moments to make younger audience members laugh.
With engaging narration helping children follow the story, The Magic of Ballet is the perfect introduction to live ballet — whether it is their very first performance or they already love to dance.
