The Making of Healthy Civic Places: An Exclusive Free Tour of Tauranga's New Buildings

Join us for a rare behind-the-scenes exploration of two of Tauranga's most significant civic buildings, examining how design can support healthier people, stronger communities and a more sustainable future.

This special Festival of Architecture event offers an exclusive preview of the new Tauranga Library designed by Studio Pacific Architecture, before it opens to the public, followed by a guided tour of Tauranga City Council's award-winning Maraenui building at 90 Devonport Road, designed by Warren and Mahoney.

Throughout the tour, hear directly from project leaders including LT McGuinness National Sustainability Lead Ben Cannon and NDY National Sustainability Lead Jason Wood, who will share insights into Green Star outcomes, climate-responsive design, low-carbon construction, workplace wellbeing and the future of sustainable civic development.
