The Matilda Allan Quintet

The Matilda Allan Quintet is introducing a vibrant and lively jazz concert! Their fresh take on Jazz standards is adventurous, bold and captivating, not to mention their love for all things blues! You’ll be sure to hear all jazz genres including Latin, swing, bebop, blues and gorgeous ballads, brought to you by the powerhouse vocals of Matilda Allan! Inspired by artists such as Natalie Cole, Sarah Vaughan and Veronica Swift, Matilda Allan and her quintet incorporate all genres of music with style and groove. Matilda has passions for all performing and storytelling; musical theatre, pop, jazz and country.

The band consists of established Brisbane jazz musicians including Angus Bryer on Tenor Saxophone, Jonah Garven on the keyboard, Liam Jones on Bass, and Ellis Yunker on the drums. The set also features various vocalese’s, something Matilda has passionately pursed in her jazz vocal career!
