The City of Canning and Mayor Patrick Hall are very proud to announce the inaugural 2022 Camco Engineering - Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner - the first time a Western Australian local government district has partnered with its business community to deliver a gala civic event with a charitable purpose.
The 2022 Camco Engineering - Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner serves as a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded businesses on this fun, inspirational and momentous occasion while giving back to a local Canning charity - Good Sammy Enterprises.
Good Sammy
Good Sammy, located in Canning, undertakes invaluable work in the local community. Not only does Good Sammy provide services that improve employment outcomes and inclusion for people with disability, they also deliver critical services to the community through their 26 Op Shops and recycling (clothing and container) programs. This helps divert millions of kilograms of items from landfill every year. You can find out more about Good Sammy here.
All proceeds raised for the event through donations, ticket sales, and auctions will be given to Good Sammy.

Dress Code - Black-tie Optional
We kindly ask that invited guests observe our Dress Code to maintain the sense of occasion that will make this gala event so special. Knowing what to wear can be difficult so we’ve provided the following information to help
Ladies
Ladies should wear full-length evening gowns, but an elegant and tasteful cocktail dress or formal pantsuit would be absolutely acceptable.
Gentlemen
We would welcome the wearing of a tuxedo, but the wearing of a lounge suit (generally a darker suit in black, charcoal, or navy) would be acceptable. This is a formal occasion and a necktie or bow tie is required.Â
Tax Deductible Receipts
All ticket profits will be donated to our chosen beneficiary, Good Sammy. The City of Canning is not registered under the Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) System, therefore, will not be able to issue a tax-deductible receipt for the purchase of tickets.
However, Good Sammy is a registered charity registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient; all purchases directly to Good Sammy, including raffle tickets, donations and sponsorships, can be issued with a tax-deductible receipt. Please contact Micaela.Pereira@goodsammy.com.au if you wish to explore this further.
