Erica Messer: After losing her beloved cat, Wolfgang, Erica Messer created Pet Loss Grieving Cards, inspired by her grief and encouraged by her mother Bonnie. Wolfie’s Wish gained worldwide recognition, winning “Best New Product” at Superzoo 2022 for these simple affirmation cards. Erica, now a certified pet bereavement specialist, hosts a monthly virtual support group and offers an online grief course.

Arlene Adams is a dynamic entrepreneur with a diverse background. She has experience managing a family pet shop and participating in breeding and dog obedience competitions. She also has a successful career in IT, project management, banking, and finance. Her journey has led her to acquire a unique skill set that she now uses to spearhead business excellence initiatives at Waglands Dog Daycare.

Helen Cook and her partner, Gavin, gave up their respective careers as a teacher and an HR manager to open their pet rescue. They had been fostering dogs for years, balancing the demands of full-time work with caring for needy animals, but wanted to do more. They found a kennel for sale with a large plot of land and the Country Retreat Animal Sanctuary was born, with the intention of saving pregnant dogs and puppies. Their adventure has led to filming the TV series The Doghouse, and Helen has recently completed writing a book.
