Monthly Murmuration
An Emergent, Co-Creative, Meditative Singing Circle for people of all experience and skill levels
The Second Saturday of each month
10am-3pm
What?
-A gathering of people to play, co-create, meditate and experiment with a combination of somatic body-movement, breath, voice structures and exercises, creative singing, exploring flow-states through body-voice, musical structures, improvisation, song-writing in the moment through voice and responding to imagination, lived-experiences and developing responsiveness to creative impulses - creating scores/rituals/structures for play and emergent composition together.
-Presence, play, co-creation, exploration, emergence, body, voice, harmony, rhythm, spaciousness, silence, rest, softening, listening
-A gathering of humans to have a taste of The Musical Body Process (which is traditionally experienced in a small group over three full days or 2 hours a week over an eight week period as a minimum)

*Cheap accomodation options available Friday night or Saturday night locally.
*You are invited to also attend The Musical Body Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring three day retreats which sometimes align with the monthly circle.
*We will have a break for between 30-60 minutes in the middle
so please bring water, snacks and a cushion and at least one warm blanket for warmth and comfort

Facilitator
Charlotte is a specialist in the areas of body, movement, voice and rhythm. She is a facilitator of experiential education, creative midwifery and mentorship and is the creator of The Musical Body Process, leading groups nationally and internationally since 2003.. Charlotte is a registered Taketina Rhythm Process™️ Facilitator, ISMETA registered Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist, Qigong facilitator, VIT registered school teacher and a Tamalpa Life/Art Process® Practitioner .
As a vocal improvisational artist, musician and composer; Charlotte co-composed and co-created projects such as ‘Murmuring Walk’ (an audio-guided walk at Sanatorium Lake Mt. Macedon) and ‘In Your Arms’ (a guided experience for carers and their pre-crawling babies). Along with this, she has released two albums and is currently completing a third. Charlotte has performed in vocal improvisational ensembles, has led ‘United Women’s Voices’ (supported by Creative Victoria) and performed seasons such as ‘Vocal Digs’ at La Mama Theatre.
