Drop-in play sessions (open to program and non-program participants) happen every week Wednesdays and Saturdays 8am to 8:30 am-
Group 1 hour sessions-
These will now be on Saturdays (rather than Tuesday evenings- other than x1 session)-
And- -
We start on Saturday 7th June at 8-930

The Musical Body 5 month Online Program
June-November 2025
Join Charlotte Roberts for a six month journey in developing a solo-at-home practice in body/movement based vocal-music improvisation. Drawing on 22 years as a facilitator and 12 years + of study and facilitation of body based vocal improvisational music work in Australia and overseas; Charlotte will offer two drop in 30 minute online sessions a week where we will individually practice exercises/games/scores in our homes, along with a monthly group online check-in/meeting/gathering, discounted 1:1 online mentoring sessions and two (included) 1:1 online sessions as part of the program fee.
Who?
Beginners to advanced practitioners -all welcome!
This will be of interest for anyone who might like to join The Musical Body immersion/facilitation trainings that are starting in 2026, those who would like to develop their body-based vocal improv practice, develop their rhythmic awareness, compose songs, develop capacity to improvise and create with others, develop a meditational body-voice-music practice, develop their capacity with different instruments (through a focus on body-voice-music-rhythm structures and improvisation you will gain tools that you can apply to multiple musical and play situations).

*Your two (discounted) private sessions (included in the program cost) will be by arrangement but must be utilised during the 6 month period.
*Extra private sessions at the discounted rate are available during the six month program

Charlotte Roberts is a specialist in the areas of body, voice, music, creative process and group work. She is a facilitator of experiential education, and mentorship and is the creator of The Musical Body Process, leading groups nationally and internationally since 2003 and specifically in emergent and responsive improvised voice/singing since 2013. Charlotte is a registered Taketina Rhythm Process™️ Facilitator, ISMETA registered Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist, Qigong facilitator, VIT registered school teacher and a Tamalpa Life/Art Process® Practitioner.
As a vocal improvisational artist, musician and composer; Charlotte co-composed and co-created projects such as ‘Murmuring Walk’ (an audio-guided walk at Sanatorium Lake Mt. Macedon) and ‘In Your Arms’ (a guided experience for carers and their pre-crawling babies). Along with this, she has released two albums and is currently completing a third. Charlotte has performed in vocal improvisational ensembles, has led ‘United Women’s Voices’ (supported by Creative Victoria) and performed seasons such as ‘Vocal Digs’ at La Mama Theatre. Additionally, Charlotte was the artist in residence at RM BEGG Aged Care Home in Kyneton 2024-2025 and is currently the curator of The Singing Shack exchange based artist and community residencies in Newham, Macedon Ranges.
