A small, intergenerational summer gathering exploring body, voice, music, movement, improvisation and the meeting places between practice and everyday life.

We’ll come together for shared morning practice, spacious afternoons, creative exchanges, meals, rest and time in nature. Facilitation will be shared among participating practitioners, with some offerings planned beforehand and others emerging from the group’s interests.

Artists, researchers, facilitators and others with a dedicated practice are invited to bring something we can explore together - through movement, embodied voice, collective vocal improvisation, rhythm, listening, play or another related practice.

You don’t need an established practice or something to facilitate to belong here. Curious participants are equally welcome, contributing through kitchen support, cooking, logistics, helping host the program and caring for shared spaces. Everyone participates in both the practice and the practical life of the camp, with contributions discussed together beforehand.

Charlotte will host the gathering and hold its overall framework.

Places are limited to 16 people in total, including Charlotte, her son Henry and two core camp–village coordinators. This leaves 12 places for additional participants, including any accompanying children. A majority of the final 12 spots/participants will be people keen to offer practices for the group during the week. These might include movement, embodied voice or body music as meditation; collective improvisation; scores and creative provocations; or rituals and ceremonies responsive to the people gathered or opening and closing ceremonies, for example.

Adults with or without children are warmly welcome. Parents remain responsible for their children, with possibilities for shared support discussed during planning.

Come for one week or both (the second week will only be open to people who have worked with Charlotte previously, or who attend the first week). Accommodation options include camping and limited rooms. We’re working with a shared-cost model, with the proposed budget, financial contributions and practical roles - including payment going towards duties such as hosting and accomodation etc.. discussed before bookings are confirmed.

Expressions of interest are open through Humanitix. No payment is required at this stage, and an EOI doesn’t guarantee a place due to the restrictions shared above. It begins a conversation about what you’d like to explore, what you might contribute and how we can make this gathering together.
