Friday June 9 Lineup

Sian Smyth (BRISBANE)

As seen on ABC’s Tonightly w/Tom Ballard, SBS Viceland, and the RAW Comedy Grand Final of 2018, Sian Smyth has been a featured performer on The Nasty Show Australia-wide.

The fact she’s been televised multiple times in Australia while making no compromises to her gut-punchingly dark comedic perspective speaks for itself. She is devastatingly funny and recently supported Doug Stanhope’s Australian tour.

Glenn Grimwood (MELBOURNE)

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Glenn is now based in Melbourne and has been onstage, crushing hearts and minds across the country, for almost 10 years. A RAW Comedy state finalist and regular Nasty Show grub, he’s headlined the show all across Australia and at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

'Hilarious.’ Gareth Reynolds (The Dollop Podcast)

Macca Melody (CAIRNS)

A local boy who gets better and better, Macca is a regular at comedy shows across Cairns and the rest of state. With a few big touring support slots under his belt, this is his first time featuring on The Nasty Show.

Hosted by Jez Watts (MELBOURNE)

Jez Watts has been performing live comedy for over a decade, featuring in over 30 festivals and touring throughout Australia, Asia and the UK. Based in Melbourne, he’s creator of The Nasty Show Australia & 50 First Jokes w/ Jez Watts, and is currently touring his best-of standup hour “Jokes About Sex & Death (And No Other Topics)”, alongside an original live-animated comedy musical “Bun Runner: The Musical”. He’s got a masters degree in Neuroscience but he never brings it up onstage. He used to be in the army and has one joke about it.

Tour support for Duncan Trussell (USA), Brian Posehn (USA) & Sami Shah (PAK) (amongst others), he was selected for The Guardian (UK) “Top 10 Jokes Edinburgh Fringe” in 2018, and co-hosts the weekly Tiny Vet Podcast with his fiancee.

‘The blend of dark, satirical and proper naughty comedy does wonders to bolster his drug-fuelled and sexual encounter stories fittingly, leaving you on the edge of your seat as more outrageous details spill out. ★★★★½’ Fringefeed 2022
