Tomorrow Together is bringing people together from across different fields for Tomorrow Talks, an evening focused on one big question: what should a Future Generations Act look like for Aotearoa?
This won’t be your typical panel event. We’re creating a space where young people, professionals and experts can come together, share ideas and have meaningful conversations about the decisions that will shape our future.
Three panel speakers will kick off the evening, answering questions with their perspectives and experiences on creating a better future and more secure space for their field in Aotearoa.
Table Talks will bring together industry professionals and participants to discuss what a Future Generations Act could mean for them, both the negatives and positives.

Tom Kelly - Director of Sustainability (Handprint) at Beca
Tom Kelly is Beca’s Director of Sustainability (Handprint), based in Auckland. With more than 20 years’ experience across consulting and client-side roles in New Zealand and Australia, Tom has worked across retail, local government, banking and professional services sectors. His expertise spans sustainability strategy and implementation, behaviour change, risk and governance, stakeholder engagement, value creation and operational improvement. He leads collaborative, empowered and multi-disciplined teams that take strategy from theory and intent to practical application helping create value for Beca, its clients and the communities they share.
Dr Will Flavell - Principal at Te Kāpehu Whetū Tāmaki and a Elected Member on the Henderson Massey Local Board
Dr Will Flavell (Ngā Puhi, Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Maniapoto) is the principal of Te Kāpehu Whetū Tāmaki, a new Māori-led senior high school in central Auckland, and has served on the Henderson-Massey Local Board since 2013. A former teacher of Japanese, social sciences and te reo Māori, he's a passionate advocate for rangatahi and equity for Māori learners.
Dr Ants Roberts - Chief Scientific Officer at Ravensdown
Dr Ants Roberts is an agricultural scientist specialising in soil science over 46 years in New Zealand agriculture. He began his career as a scientist with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, which later became AgResearch. He has researched soil nutrient requirements, soil health, organic farming, agronomy and environmental monitoring on pastoral farms, not only here in New Zealand, but also in Australia, Japan, Chile and South Africa. He has authored or co-authored more than a hundred scientific and extension papers. Today, Ants participates in agronomic research and mentors younger scientists and farmer facing field staff who help farmers to maximise their economic returns from soil nutrient management while minimising their impact on the environment.
