The Night School #1: Feminist Potato Puppet Theatre

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Feminist Potato Puppet Theatre will be an interactive workshop where attendees will design and build their own potato puppet, devise a character for their puppet, and then collaboratively build sets to perform a theatre show or performance experience.

This exercise, developed by the artist Amelie Jakubek, uses role-playing as an active process to define and redefine an imaginary world. The Feminist Potato Puppet Theatre draws on a childhood instinct for using puppets as a way to practice relationships, overcome the physical boundaries of the body and through the smaller scale of the puppets, examine our own, and our collective, agency.

Tessa Forde will facilitate this workshop as part of The Night School.
