Fresh from topping the Australian Blues & Roots Charts and preparing to represent South East Queensland at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, 8 Ball Aitken is bringing his electrifying live show to The Nook.
A world-travelled performer who has taken his unique blend of blues, soul, swamp-rock and slide guitar across more than twenty countries, 8 Ball has built a loyal following through relentless touring, exceptional musicianship and unforgettable live performances, all delivered with a generous dose of humour.
After spending nine years based in Nashville, Tennessee, working alongside some of the biggest names in blues music, 8 Ball returned home to Queensland, where he continues to write, record and produce chart-topping music from his Glass House Mountains studio.
His latest collaboration album, Nightbird, recorded with powerhouse soul singer Taya Chani, has already produced two #1 Australian AMRAP Regional Chart singles and become a favourite on festival stages around the country.
Set inside The Nook’s cosy 40-person space, this is live music up close, personal and completely immersive, with great songs, brilliant stories and plenty of laughs

- Will tickets be available at the door?
These events have historically sold out before the event date. Tickets are limited to a small intimate crowd. Its highly unlikely unless we have cancelations last minute.
- BYO?
Yes! We are not licensed to sell alcohol. So you are welcome to BYO
- BYO food?
No, the space is too small to accommodate BYO food. We have small bar snacks available for purchase, and we recommend eating beforehand. There’s a great Indian restaurant just downstairs, Tandoori Flames.
- Parking
Public parking is available in the Pearl Lane car park, a short walk from The Nook. We ask that patrons avoid using the Cooroy Village Shopping Centre car park so there’s enough space for the restaurants downstairs.
