Description
David Flower - Live at The Nook Cooroy
Friday 18th Dec | 6:30pm | Ages 13+ | BYO
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! It’s been a while since David and Karl’s sold out July show and one things for sure .. he’s been very busy! From running his own Festival ‘Flametree Gathering’ to playing festivals from the Bundaberg taste festival to far north to Black mountains Outbackastan, Savannah in the round and rolling down here to the sold out Wolvi stomp with other solo shows to make up a packed calendar.
David’s live shows are creative, fun and uplifting, playing his own version of progressive roots, boogie blues, funk, folk and reggae music.
David’s show takes twists and turns, rich in rhythm, rhyme and originality, taking you on an authentic journey through stories, humour and a prolific catalogue of self penned songs spanning four albums and many singles. David is currently working towards his fifth album.
David features his trademark acoustic guitar style, from groovy and funky rhythms to intricate fingerpicking, with harmonica melodies woven throughout.
Organic, home grown and self taught, David hails from his old school garage band days. He never gave up on his dreams, finding his own way, writing damn good songs and playing his way from open mics onto festival stages.
FAQs
- Will tickets be available at the door?
These events have historically sold out before the event date. Tickets are limited to a small intimate crowd. Its highly unlikely unless we have cancelations last minute.
- BYO?
Yes! We are not licensed to sell alcohol. So you are welcome to BYO
- BYO food?
No, the space is too small to accommodate BYO food. We have small bar snacks available for purchase, and we recommend eating beforehand. There’s a great Indian restaurant just downstairs, Tandoori Flames.
- Parking
Public parking is available in the Pearl Lane car park, a short walk from The Nook. We ask that patrons avoid using the Cooroy Village Shopping Centre car park so there’s enough space for the restaurants downstairs.
- What does 13+ mean?
Our 13+ shows are open to teenagers aged 13–17 when accompanied by a responsible adult. The Nook is not a licensed venue, however it is BYO, so alcohol may be consumed by adults. These events are primarily geared towards adult audiences, so some performances may include mature themes or language, but the focus is always on live music.
