Al Nakba: The Ongoing Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine

The Century-long Palestinian Struggle Against the Zionist Settler Colonial Project

  • What was the role of the Zionist lobby in the West in establishing the state of Israel? Did the Palestinians stand a chance at self-determination following WWII?

  • How does the current genocide in Gaza relate to the 1948 ‘Nakba’ and the 1967 ‘Naksa’?

  • What is the historic significance of Oct. 7th offensive on the future of the Palestinian national movement and the Zionist movement?

  • Is there another possible resolution for the Palestinian struggle beyond the prevalent ‘two-state/one-state’ dichotomy?

  • What is a possible vision for liberation and decolonisation in historic Palestine? Does the Zionist ideology have any future in that vision?

  • What effective measures can civil society and policy makers take to stop the genocide, combat Zionism and promote Palestinian rights?

To answer all these questions and more, please join us in this in-depth discussion with Professor Ilan Pappe.

Professor Ilan Pappe is an Israeli historian and political scientist and professor at the University of Exeter. A former senior lecturer in political science at the University of Haifa and author of many books including “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine” and “Lobbying for Zionism on both sides of the Atlantic”.
