ABOUT THE PAIRS

This Internationally touring band of celebrated songwriters greet every stage with a genuine, quirky presence and unbottled chemistry. Their sibling harmonies and familial banter quickly connects them to their audience. Whether The Pairs are playing an intimate house concert or a sold out show at a performing arts centre, these classically trained vocalists make it their mission to employ three part harmony and honest storytelling as the mighty tools that soften and connect us. The Pairs will release their fourth studio album in spring 2025. This record aims to encapsulate the authentic, minimalistic, and acoustic style performances this trio has become known for.

ABOUT GENEVIEVE RACETTE

Geneviève Racette, a highly acclaimed folk-pop musician from Québec, has captured the hearts of listeners with her gentle yet compelling emotional resonance. Since her debut EP in 2014, she has gained remarkable industry support for her folk-pop tracks. Geneviève has become a rising star in both the French and English-speaking Canadian music scenes, known for her vulnerable lyricism and ethereal vocals.

Her third full-length record, "Satellite," released in March 2022, is a collection of nine songs that share honest stories of self-discovery and reflection through the cycle of love. Satellite has received unprecedented recognition since its release, with glowing reviews from major outlets like Rolling Stone, Exclaim!, CBC, Women of Americana, Americana Music Association, Sirius XM, and numerous other publications and radio stations. One standout track on the album is "Someone," a beautiful duet with City and Colour’s Dallas Green.

Geneviève's career trajectory has seen a remarkable ascent since her previous album, "No Water, No Flowers," which propelled her from regional recognition in Quebec to national acclaim. She earned a Canadian Folk Music Award, performed with City and Colour at Osheaga, and received rave reviews from various media outlets, music publications, and blogs. Her music also found a place on multiple radio stations across Canada and the USA.

As a woman in the music industry, Geneviève prioritizes surrounding herself with like-minded women-identifying individuals. She takes pride in the fact that over 80% of her team consists of woman-identifying musicians and industry members. Fine-tuning her artistic vision and building a profound network of professionals, Geneviève approached the release of this latest record with a newfound creative state of mind and a vision to export her music across North America and beyond—a feat she unwaveringly achieved.

Geneviève has headlined numerous shows across Canada and the United States and showcased at prestigious music events such as Folk Alliance International, Folk Music Ontario, NERFA, AMERICANAFEST, Canadian Music Week, and more. Looking ahead, her fourth record, "Golden," is set to be released next fall, adding anticipation to her already impressive musical journey.
