GENERAL INFO: LANTANA Space is an artist-run experimental arts space. We exist to make experimental practice visible and accessible.
We centre process-driven studio practice and create inclusive opportunities for artists of all mediums and career stages to develop, test and share new work. Home to 6 artist studios, exhibitions, events and community, LANTANA is both a working space and a meeting place. Our flexible studios are designed for real practice, and our exhibition space supports solo and group shows, public programs and cross-disciplinary projects.
Founded in 2021, we are located on Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi Country in Moffat Beach.
DONATIONS: We’re a one of a kind space in the region, a DIY space that's artist funded and run. Your support helps us provide space and opportunities for independent artists to create and share their work, representing the diverse arts ecology of the Sunshine Coast from the coast to the hinterland. All donations go directly towards programming, covering essentials like the ol’ power bill, and expanding opportunities for artists to create new experiences for our community… for you! We deeply appreciate any contributions. If you’d like to find out more about how to get involved, please reach out.
ACCESS to LANTANA Space: The main entrance has a 20cm step and is not fully wheelchair accessible, however access can be provided via the side roller door. There is one bathroom, with entry through a standard width door. Please let us know when booking if you have any mobility requirements. For access enquiries, contact us at contact@lantanaspace.com
TRANSPORT & PARKING: Street parking along Allen Street is available and we recommend car pooling where possible to reduce impact on our neighbours and the environment. Please be conscious to not block any driveways or create excessive noise when attending or leaving the venue. Caloundra Bus Interchange is a 30min walk or 5min Uber from the venue with accessible bus routes along Queen Street, William Street and Edmund Street with the 600, 602 and 607. We recommend visiting translink.
