About The Pickpockets:
As bluegrass continues to grow and bend as a genre, The Pickpockets are at the forefront, pushing the unique roots of their sound and jams into new territories. The five-piece string band from Salt Lake City recently released their debut album Beyond The Hills - a culmination of their best original work to date (joining an original EP from 2022 and a cover EP from 2023), and are currently embarking on a self-managed tour throughout the Mountain West. The band's expansive repertoire and ever-growing sound draws inspiration from all around the world; from reggae, to funk, to traditional and newgrass styles, they consistently are creating new grooves and genres.
The Pickpockets have played sold out shows with notable bands like The Kitchen Dwellers, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys, The Fretliners, Mountain Grass Unit, High Country Hustle and many more. Besides playing all around Salt Lake (The Depot, The State Room, The Commonwealth Room, Metro Music Hall, Kilby Court, The Gateway), The Pickpockets have played at festivals such as the Brundage Summer Music Series, 4 Peaks Music Festival, Ogden Music Festival, and many others. By combining traditional instruments and classical chops with futuristic style and heartfelt songwriting, The Pickpockets are breathing new life into a timeless genre, bluegrass.
About Ridgeliners:
The Ridgeliners project was formed over a bottle of whiskey during a late night writing session between Justin Bradford and Michael J Williams. From the first song they wrote, they knew that their sound was sure to captivate and indulge audiences in the country, folk and americana realm. Their first EP showcased different moods with head-chilling, powerful outlaw country and infectious songwriting.
Originally started as a duo, their potential was quickly realized on their first tour when they were able to satisfy rowdy and listening audiences alike. With different homebases, they were able to quickly grow their recognition across state lines. Justin based in Denver and Michael in Salt Lake City. Their performance has no shortage of flashy vocal runs and impressive guitar solos but their commitment to writing genuine and fresh songs is evident. Their inspirations include The SteelDrivers, Sturgil Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Billy Strings, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Red Clay Strays, CCR and Tyler Childers.
