PJ O’Brien knows how to get a Blues party started. His blistering fretwork has been turning heads from Perth to Memphis, Chicago, Austin, London, Singapore & back again.

Driven by PJ’s fat & funky guitar, accompanied by his smooth, soul-filled vocals, this band is receiving widespread acclaim. PJ's Blues exude both a retro & a modern feel, delivering award-winning songwriting & spine-tingling dynamics.

His Rhythm section includes Sydney Blues Legends Allan Britton - Bass (Bondi Cigars) & Dave Fester – Drums (Glenn Cardier & Shane pacey Trio)

PJ’s last album, 'Jefferson Blues' debuted at No. 1 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Chart & has received fantastic reviews in Australia, the UK & the US.

His music has been reviewed in Blues Revue (USA), Blues Blast (USA), Blues Matters (UK), Classic Rock's 'Blues' (UK), Rhythms (AU) FHM (AU) & Australian Guitar. PJ has won numerous music awards over the years & in 2006 received an Australia Council grant to represent the Sydney Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN.

He has played multiple times at Australia's premier Blues Festivals including Blues at Bridgetown (WA), Great Southern Blues Festival (NSW), Thredbo Blues Festival (NSW) Gympie Muster (QLD), Darling Harbour Jazz & Blues Festival (NSW), Blues on Broadbeach (QLD), the Echuca Winter Blues Festival (VIC) & the Australian Blues Music Festival (NSW), as well as in all the top Sydney music venues.
