The Polak Game: How do you see the future?

Every decision you make is shaped by how you picture the future will be.

So how do you see the future? Why? How is that similar and different to others around you?

In this 1 hour lunchtime session we'll experiment with these ideas by playing the Polak Game. Developed by Peter Haywood (a futures legend I'm lucky enough to be mentored by), this game brings to life some foundational foresight principles from the Dutch sociologist Frederik Lodewijk Polak.

Is it worth attending if I don't know much about foresight?

Absolutely! This game requires zero prior knowledge about futures and foresight, and is a great introduction to thinking about the way we think about the future.

Will I get something out of it if I know a bit about foresight?

You betcha! Despite the simple format of this game, it delivers rich insights for people further along in their foresight development. The Polak Game is highly replayable, and is a gift that keeps on giving.
