The Potential Effects of Early Life Trauma - focus on dogs - including those in shelter settings. (live on ZOOM)
Event description
Every young animal has an alarm system in their body that is designed to keep them safe from harm. When activated, the alarm system prepares the body to fight or run away.
Dr Mel Starling & Dr Kat Gregory, with Dr Diana Rayment, introduce the topic of early life trauma - the potential effects on puppies - short & longer term.  Â
 - How might we- as primary caregivers - help mitigate the outcomes of trauma? Â
- How might we - as professionals in the field - incorporate this knowledge into the choices we make and what we do, to help young animals develop into resilient adults.
All attendees should be familiar with the important preliminary discussion from the Animal Behaviour Doctors.
