Come spend a slow spring afternoon with us at New Farm Park!
The Pour is a new way for Lassi & Letters to gather: a little more casually, a little more often.
Bring your favourite drink, find a spot on the picnic mat, and settle in.
There’ll be good conversation, a few little things to spark connection, the chance to meet someone new, and time to wander, explore and linger in the sunshine.
You might:

- Do I need to be South Asian to come?
Not at all. Lassi & Letters is rooted in South Asian culture and community, and everyone who feels connected to what we're creating is welcome at The Pour. 🤍
- Do I need to come with someone?
Absolutely not. Come on your own! The Pour is designed to make it easy to meet someone new, and we'll have a few gentle conversation starters to help.
- What should I bring?
Your favourite drink, something to sit on if you'd like, and yourself. 🌿
- What happens at The Pour?
We'll gather on the picnic mat, chat, play a few little games, and have some simple prompts to spark conversation. There may also be a wander around the gardens. Nothing is compulsory, follow your own pace.
- Do I have to participate in everything?
Nope. You can chat, wander, play, sit quietly, meet someone new or simply enjoy your drink in the sunshine.
- What if I don't know anyone?
That's completely okay. Many people will be coming without knowing anyone. We'll help you settle in and make those first introductions a little easier.
- What happens if it rains?
The Pour is an outdoor gathering, so we're keeping an eye on the weather. If the forecast isn't looking kind, we'll let everyone know by the day before and postpone the gathering to a sunnier afternoon. We will keep you poasted by email and Instagram :)
