The Power of Art as Medicine
Event description
Kia ora dear Sisters you are invited to join us for "The Power of Art as Medicine"
Art has the ability to heal, transform, and awaken new possibilities within us.
The Power of Art as Medicine will be an immersive Red Tent Circle designed to guide you into a creative process that not only produces beautiful imagery but also helps you move energy and create space for something new to emerge.
Our special guest this month is Rosie Mac. As a Certified Intentional Creativity Teacher and Certified Life Coach, Rosie is passionate about teaching art as a methodology to shift stuck energy and open doorways to deeper self-awareness. She weaves together tools for personal growth with the power of creative expression. This unique blend of coaching and art allows participants to not only explore their creativity but to also connect it directly to their life journey, values, and aspirations.
Intentional Creativity is a practice of creating with mindfulness, where every brushstroke becomes an opportunity for healing, clarity, and transformation. When we engage with art in this way, we step into a dialogue with our inner world, uncover hidden wisdom, and give form to what words alone cannot express.
In this circle, you will:
Learn how art can be used as a healing practice and a source of resilience.
Experience a guided process to shift emotional and energetic blocks.
Connect with your intuition through creativity, presence, and heart connection.
Create a piece of art that reflects your inner journey—a visual reminder of your strength and wisdom.
Leave with simple tools you can continue to use for grounding, insight, and self-expression.
No previous art experience is required, this is about process, not perfection.
Whether you are seeking clarity, healing, or simply a space to reconnect with yourself, this sacred space offers a sanctuary where creativity becomes medicine.
Join us for this powerful exploration and discover how art can become a trusted ally on your path to wholeness.

~Jill Natalia (RTA founder)
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support. We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
Red Tent Aotearoa has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.

FAQ:
*What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant.
Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard.
There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.
Each month at Red Tent Aotearoa is different, we invite a different woman to share her story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some of our themes in the past have been; The Power of Pleasure, The Power of Identity, The Power of Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, The Power of Positive Touch, and The Power of Humility.
Our belief is that 'Power-with' instead of 'Power-over' will change the world.
*Who is the host and why does she do this?
We have many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country.
Each Red Tent is hosted by someone different.
