Event description

Small Giants Academy is excited to host ‘Conversations with Extraordinary People’, a webinar series with the world's most extraordinary and leading thinkers. Together, we will explore the question “How might we reimagine our world to create the conditions for shared thriving for all humans and living things.

In this conversation, Small Giants Academy co-founder Berry Liberman will be chatting with our dear friend and long-term collaborator, Lydia Fairhall. Lydia is currently studying a masters of divinity, in formation for the priesthood and working in next economy space. Together, they will discuss the power of imagination and dreaming, reminding us that we are master creators, here to heal and enliven the world with our own unique gifts.

Join us for what is sure to be a rich discussion, integrating spirituality, Indigenous wisdom and modern philosophy.

Meet Lydia Fairhall:

Lydia Fairhall is a Worimi woman whose professional background is in executive arts leadership, festival curation and producing for theatre and film, in both urban and remote communities.  She was previously the dual recipient of the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship and the Australia Council for the Arts Community Arts and Cultural Development Fellowship, where she formed much of the work she does today in facilitating conscious leadership, spiritual direction and next economy transitions for both companies and individuals.

Lydia has a BA in Social Science and is currently completing a Masters of Divinity, as a formation student called to the Priesthood within the Anglican Church. She enjoys a continued arts practice as a singer/songwriter and freelance writer, creating two back to back albums True North and The Narrows in 2019/21.

Most of her free time is spent either in the ocean or the bush, and outside of her work she enjoys a simple, quiet life with her partner and two children.

Meet Berry Liberman:

Berry Liberman is a pioneering impact investor, businesswoman, philanthropist, storyteller and filmmaker. As co-founder of Australia’s first B-Corporation, the Small Giants Family Office, Berry and her husband Danny Almagor create and support media, investment, and education initiatives with the purpose of moving towards a Next Economy model: supporting human flourishing within our collective natural limits.

Berry was the editor in chief and publisher of Dumbo Feather for 12 years and is the creative director of Small Giants Academy, an educational initiative providing courses in progressive business, investing, and leadership.

She is an accomplished speaker, interviewer and thought leader on the Next Economy. Berry’s radical curiosity and intelligence are as expansive as her big-hearted love for people and planet alike. With warmth, humour and deep relatability, Berry urges leaders from all sectors to face a changing economy before it’s too late to have that choice.
