    Event description

Join us in the safety and sanctuary of the Red Tent on Sunday, 4th Aug from 3-6pm for:

    THE POWER OF NO!

No is a strong word and a strong energy.
    No is a complete sentence.
There is power in saying no.
There is power when our no is heard, understood and respected.
Sometimes we say yes when we mean no.
Sometimes we say no, and people don’t hear it.
Sometimes we hear other people tell us no – and it hurts.
Sometimes we don’t ask because we are afraid to get no for an answer.

Our bodies and our intuition can tell us if something is a yes or a no.

    Are we listening?

Come along for a thoughtful and provoking conversation about the power of no.
Let’s play with saying no and hearing no.
Let’s play with intuitive tools to better hear our own inner no.

This month we have Meg and Suzanna facilitating:

Sewn and grown in Otepoti, Dunedin, for 25 years, Meg has picked Otautahi to bloom for her second quarter century - although she has raised two boys, and is "Glammy" to 3 boys, she has vowed to never grow up!

Unfulfilled by a career in the fashion industry and retail, without a space for deep connection and authenticity, Meg studied Mental Health, and advocated for lived experience peer leadership through the Thriving Madly community.

It was only after a series of traumatic events that the universe showed her the goddess within, who was perfectly imperfect and no longer required to maskerbate. Not to wear a mask, but to be her true authentic self even if it meant ugly crying in public.

In walking the path of the goddess, Meg has embraced sisterhood and being in circle; leaning into her fears and sitting in the shadows with peers has taught her deep empathy and humility.

Meg has been blessed with the gift of worldview so can see things from both sides, and through a neuro diverse lens (a safety net to catch those sitting on the sidelines who may otherwise be left behind). In her company you can be assured of acceptance, having your voice heard, and your hand held - shining your lights together.

You will leave her table having been served a smorgasbord of delights - you won't leave feeling hungry!

Suzanna is a former Certified Financial Planner and current Intuitive Financial Healer, Mentor and Trainer.

Suzanna is the co-facilitator of Red Tent Aotearoa, Christchurch branch. Feeling chewed up and spat out by Financial Planning for “thinking too differently”, Suzanna embarked into self-employment with Her Money Her Purpose.

Having achieved the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner certification, she went on to incorporate unexpected modalities such as Humanistic Neural Linguistic Psychology and Art of Feminine Presence into her repertoire to offer women truly unique solutions which take into account the whole woman – not just her money.

Suzanna’s passion is having deep conversations about money and purpose, she is gifted at holding space and loves exploring all that a woman was, is and can be. She supports women to connect with their power, their purpose, and their value so that they can feel safety and confidence with their money and with themselves.

She weaves together practical money strategies, with universal principals, and creates spaces for women to transform their relationship with money and confidently grow their wealth and impact.

    About Red Tent Aotearoa-

    "What women want is CONNECTION.
Not on a superficial level, but a REAL connection and support."

    ~Jill Natalia (RTA founder)

The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support.
We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.

Red Tent Aotearoa has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.
We establish community networks and support between women by hosting local gatherings, and events in what we call 'Red Tents.'

Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, and we invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

    FAQ:
What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?

The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant.
Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard.
There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.

Each month at Red Tent Aotearoa is different, we invite a different woman to share her story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some of our themes in the past have been; The Power of Pleasure, The Power of Identity, The Power of Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, The Power of Positive Touch, and The Power of Humility.

Our belief is that 'Power-with' instead of 'Power-over' will change the world.

Who is the host and why does she do this?

We have many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country.
Each Red Tent is hosted by someone different.

Jill Natalia is the founder of Red Tent Aotearoa and Red Tent Australia.
She is a Holistic Counsellor and Business Mentor with Conscious Consulting NZ. Born in Ōtautahi, Christchurch, she left when she was 18 and returned 28 years later in 2020.

Jill is a community-focused change-maker with a devotion to non-profit organisations and a passion for non-violent communication. She has dedicated the last 11 years of her life to starting, growing, and sharing Red Tent Australia and now Red Tent Aotearoa.  Organisations that helps start and support the birthing of Red Tent circles all over the country. Jill believes in the power of Red Tent circles to heal the women of the world and in doing so the ripple effect will be felt across the globe.
