Join Gold Coast Open House for a lively discussion with a dynamic panel of artists, architects and designers as they explore how creative disciplines shape the way we live, work and connect. From coastal pavilions to large-scale installations, the conversation will explore how the built environment, and the stories it holds, shape our understanding of place.

What's included: Guided Sculpture Experience with SWELL curators followed by a welcome drink on arrival to the exclusive SWELL Art Party marquee, grazing boards and paella to delight your palate and access to The Power of Place: Where Art, Architecture & Design Meet panel discussion with industry experts.

Event Schedule: 

4:00 PM – Arrive to the Wallace Nicoll Park, ready for an unforgettable experience.
4:10 PM – Embark on a Guided Sculpture Experience through SWELL Sculpture Festival, led by artistic leaders and curators.
5:10 PM – Arrive at the exclusive SWELL Art Party marquee for welcome drinks and abundant grazing boards, surrounded by great company and ocean views.
6:00 PM – Enjoy a delicious paella, mingle with fellow guests and soak in the creative atmosphere.
6:30 PM – Engage with leading voices in the arts during a thought-provoking panel discussion exploring themes of public art, creativity, and connection.
8:00 PMEvent concludes.

Gold Coast Open House is a free public festival that celebrates architecture, urban design and the built environment across the City of Gold Coast. The festival invites the community to explore the buildings, places and spaces that shape our city and lifestyle, offering a unique, behind-the-scenes experience.

Through a curated program of architect-led tours, self-guided explorations, panel discussions, documentary screenings and interactive events, Gold Coast Open House sparks public conversation about the value of quality design in creating a liveable, sustainable city.

Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, building owners, architects and custodians, the majority of events are offered free of charge, encouraging everyone to connect with the rich design culture and architectural stories of the Gold Coast.

This years' event will take place over the weekend of 27 & 28 September 2025 across the Gold Coast.
