Why does The Queen’s Cohort charge a $5 RSVP fee?

• Your payment is your commitment to attend.

  • Pushing RSVP is easy to do.  Showing up on the day can often be a lot harder.  We don't look at your Facebook event RSVP.  Your $5 ticket tells us that you've thought about attending and you've made a commitment to yourself and to us to be there.  

  • The team at QC have great relationships with the venues we host our events at. 

    • We'd hate to book for 20 and have only 15 turn up... that's a massive loss of income for the venue from a table that could have been used by someone else.   

  • A LOT of time and effort goes into creating quality, memorable events for our Queens.

    • It takes time to create these events.  

      We spend a lot of time researching the coolest locations, the trendiest bars, the hottest new spots and then move heaven and earth to get reservations.

  • The hosts always ensure that you are recognised, personally greeted, welcomed and included in at every event you attend.

    • If you struggle to walk in to a social environment on your own - then please reach out to the hosts.  We will meet you at the door, around the corner or even share an uber ride in with you if that helps you to make that first step.  We will personally introduce you to the other members and stay by your side until you have comfortably found your way to other members to chat with.  This is our commitment to you. 

• 100% of this $5 RSVP goes to The Queen’s Cohort Foundation — helping fund tickets for women in our community who may not otherwise be able to attend. It’s about making our events accessible, inclusive, and supportive.

  We considered increasing the fee to $10 to grow this support, but we know that even small increases can make it harder for some to attend. So, we’re keeping the fee at $5 — and giving you the option to add a donation if you’re in a position to do so.

  Please know that The Queen’s Cohort is run entirely by volunteers. Naomi Walker, Narelle Poole, and our guest hosts do not get paid and also pay for their own tickets. They invest their own time, energy, and resources to make each event meaningful for you.

  This fee is not about covering costs. It’s about community.
  It’s your commitment to attend, and a gesture of respect for the women who make it happen.
