The Rambagira-Kawa-Rah-Rah!
Event description
THE RAMBAGIRA-KAWA-RAH-RAH!
Get ready, Australia! It’s time to join hands and get down with our coffee community to Support Strong Women. It’s the final push to the finish line… and we want to celebrate with you!
We’re kicking off a series of super fun events, The Rambagira-Kawa-Rah-Rah, to celebrate the campaign and its generous contributors, and raise even more awareness and support for the incredible women of Rambagirakawa.
THE PARTY
Co-hosted by our good mates at La Marzocco, each Rah-Rah will feature a tasting of Rwandan coffees from supporting roasters, door raffles, games and competitions, prizes, drinks, music and more!
100% of proceeds from the events will go towards the construction of a day care centre, to service the women and families of Rambagirakawa in Rwanda’s Northern Province. Come along for a fun night, supporting a great cause!
This is a cashless event.

THE CAMPAIGN
Since forming in 2012, the women's alliance Rambagirakawa has advocated tirelessly for greater autonomy, support and resources for Rwanda’s female landowners and coffee farmers.
Besides farming and processing their coffee crops, Rambagirakawa’s members have wholeheartedly pursued additional income opportunities, like basket weaving and embroidery, to develop greater independence both economically and socially. The result is an empowered and ambitious alliance of women, whose ever-expanding activities focus on creating opportunity and success for the women and children in their community.
Through the Supporting Strong Women campaign, the Australian coffee community aims to raise $15,000 to construct a day care centre for the women of Rambagirakawa and the wider coffee producing community. Accomplishing this long-held goal will directly impact the women’s productivity and prosperity, while also ensuring their children are cared for in a safe, happy and nurturing environment, surrounded by their community and with their mums, aunties and grandmothers close by.
