The Reason I Jump - Special Screening for World Autism Month
Event description
It’s International Autism Month and Writing WA and @thebacklot are celebrating with a special screening of The Reason I Jump, followed by an in-conversation with Writing WA’s CEO Will Yeoman and Sex & Relationship Therapist, Writer, and Speaker Mim Kempson (@theconnectioncoach_). Join us on Sunday 20th April at 2.00pm at The Backlot Cinema. Swipe right to watch the trailer for this incredible film.
The Reason I Jump is based on the book by Naoki Higashida and explores the experiences of non-speaking autistic people around the world. The film blends Higashida's revelatory insights into autism, written when he was just 13, with intimate portraits of five remarkable young people.
