The Sacred Well Quest - Thames
This is a quest into our deepest longing.
Who am I beneath all that I have learned to be and can I trust what life (and my Self) is asking to be lived.
This is a day of exploration through connection to our bodies through movement, presence, inquiry and togetherness.
Details, dates and intention below..... join me in a quest of opening yourself to your truth
what lies beyond our fears
Before this became The Sacred Well Quest, it began with this impulse to take myself on a journey into deeper self trust, learning how to keep meeting life as it arises, the practice of letting go of protective identities that have been keeping me stuck in loops, trusting that life is here for me and is working for me, opening me to all that I am... whatever that is ... it is a continual discovery.
A couple of months ago I came to an ending, a deep (uncomfortable) invitation to let something in myself die and to step out and find what it is to live beyond that, something truer within myself. An impulse to discover what it is to open to fear and the unknown, and see what was on the other side. A part of me that of me that was ready to live something that is still unnameable and unknown but alive, pulsing, calling me to live closer an inner truth.
This was about deepening into trust in life and in myself.. Because they are not separate.
And to do that I decided to take myself on a quest and within that quest something else bubbled up. To join with other women along the way.
Because it feels like we need more of this togetherness in our undoings and our authentic expression.
One of the most important things I contemplated as I was conjuring this experience is my why. What is it that I truly want to offer you?
What I feel really clear about is that I am not coming in as a teacher in the traditional sense. There is nothing here that I will teach you that you can simply take away. This is about the magic that happens when we step into the unknown and learn with each other.
What I hope you will take away , if you decided to join me, is what YOU discover about yourself through the experience and that it gifts you more freedom and joy.
This day will be a small and intimate gathering, and after much deliberation I have decided to keep The Sacred Well Quest solely for women, because this feels like part of the feminine quest, the heroine’s journey through the myth of Inanna, learning how to descend, let go and then return.
And I truly hope you will join me.
This is an invitation to step into a full-day immersive journey with me and a guest facilitator ……. a different magnificent and deeply wise woman will join me in each location along the way.
As I continue on my own quest, we meet here, in this one-day opportunity to share and play in the journey together.

Together we will move through:
As a symbolic guide for this experience, we journey alongside the ancient myth of Inanna's descent.
Together we will explore three pieces of this descent and return:
The Beginning: The willingness to descend into the unknown, to enter into the body, we awaken the impulses and instinct and pathways within the deeper places of ourselves. Through gentle guided movement we begin to surrender reason and logic to something deeper, alive and real.
The Deepening: The revealing of the identities, roles, protections and stories that once gave us a sense of power. When we deeply inquire and listen to what is arising we can begin to sense....what stories are of power are we holding on to, what no longer feels true?
The Return: The reclamation, a somatic dance to explore the embodiment of what we choose to carry back into our lives and into the world.
This is not about fixing yourself or becoming someone new
It is not about adding more to you. Instead it is an invitation to strip
It is about your discovery, your trust to listen and respond to this inner pulse within.
It is an invitation to soften, listen, connect, and remember the wisdom that already lives within you.
This is the heroine’s journey.
We will finish our journey together in acknowledgement and care for our stories and each other with a light potluck sharing to ground and connect.
Will you join me on this quest of self love and self discovery.
Your guides within this quest
Your teacher is Jody Brown, currently deep within her own quest, a woman dedicated to the path of the heart, the embodiment of our humanity and connection for the purpose of discovering our own rich and deep authentic truth and freedom.
Jody has spent years exploring embodiment and inquiry practices, has been teaching yoga since 2012, has trained in Somatic Therapies, Zenthai Shiastu and Somatic Dance
Her work lives somewhere between somatic devotion, ancient knowing, and “oh wow, I did not expect to feel that today.” She will invite you to soften and then stay long enough to meet what’s underneath the softening.
A lover of depth over noise, presence over performance, and connection over everything, Jody is quietly (and sometimes not so quietly) midwifing a more honest way of being human.
Questions? and Answers
Do I need experience with yoga, movement or somatic practices?
Not at all.
The Sacred Well Quest is designed to meet you exactly where you are. All practices can be adapted to suit your body and level of experience.
What if I'm not comfortable dancing?
Somatic dance is not about performance, choreography or getting it right.
It is an invitation to explore movement in your own way and at your own pace. There is no expectation to dance in any particular way.
Is this a workshop or a retreat?
The Sacred Well Quest is a one-day immersive experience.
Think of it as a mini vision quest, a day devoted to reconnecting with yourself through movement, inquiry, connection and reflection.
Is this therapeutic?
While the experience may be deeply meaningful and transformative, it is not therapy.
The focus is on embodied exploration, self-discovery, connection and cultivating a deeper relationship with yourself and life.
What if I'm feeling nervous about coming alone?
Many women will come on their own.
In fact, arriving alone can be a beautiful part of the journey. The day is intentionally small and relational, creating opportunities for genuine connection and a sense of belonging.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing you can move in
A journal and pen
Water bottle
A contribution for the shared picnic (if requested)
An open heart and curious spirit
Is the day physically demanding?
No.
While there will be movement, yoga and dance, everything is offered as an invitation rather than a requirement. You are encouraged to honour your body and participate in ways that feel supportive for you.
Is this only for women?
Yes.
After much contemplation I have chosen to offer The Sacred Well Quest as a women's space.
This feels aligned with the feminine themes of descent, surrender, connection and return that weave through the experience.
What if I'm going through a big life transition?
You are especially welcome.
Many women are drawn to this work during times of change, uncertainty, grief, awakening, transition or when they sense life calling them towards something deeper.
What will I leave with?
My hope is that you leave with a deeper relationship to yourself, a greater trust in your own inner knowing, and a renewed sense that life can be met with openness, courage and curiosity.
Who is this for
The Sacred Well Quest is for women who feel called to slow down, listen deeply and reconnect with what feels true.
Maybe you are standing at a threshold.
Maybe life is asking something of you.
Maybe you are longing for more trust, more aliveness, more connection, or simply a day to return to yourself.
If something in this invitation resonates, this quest may be for you and we can quest these questions together.
