Help Us Bring Safe Space Back!
Event description
When the Little BIG House Safe Space closed its doors late last year, we knew the loss would be felt deeply. We lost a supportive, welcoming place for those in distress by extending help and a listening ear.
With your help, we hope to bring the Safe Space back.
This will be a community-led initiative that supports those struggling with their mental health, providing a space for comfort and connection. Operated by trained volunteers, it is an alternative to emergency or clinical services, free of judgment, pressure, or expectation.
To share more about this opportunity, we’re holding a Volunteer Information Night for anyone interested in being part of the revival:
Volunteer Information Night
Monday 27th May, 6-7pm
The Little BIG House, Summer Hill
16 Flour Mill Way, Summer Hill NSW 2130
Join us for a commitment free evening where you’ll discover more about the Safe Space program, explore volunteering opportunities and find out how you can make a positive impact on the local community.
We're looking for dedicated volunteers who are eager to be part of
1. A working group committee who will organise, oversee and ensure the ongoing successes of the Safe Space, and
2. Volunteers interested in staffing the Safe Space drop-in sessions for those in need.
We'd love to hear your ideas and insights, as we work together to create something meaningful and long lasting.
Bringing back the Safe Space is dependant on the number of volunteers we can gather. Please register your interest in being involved below (even if you will be unable to attend so we can keep you informed).
